Our history

The Blidösund Company frequents Stockholm's northern archipelago with the steamboats Blidösund, m/s Sjögull and m/s Sjöbris.

The Blidösund Company has, like the Waxholms Company, the task of looking after the two steamboats s/s Storskär and s/s Norrskär toghether with their steamboat restaurants. This task also includes the operation of m/s Västan, m/s Ramsö, m/s Skarpö and the four Djurgårds ferries which cover the Slussen - Allmänna Gränd route, all year round. M/s Sjögull och m/s Sjöbris are in action from April to October and s/s Blidösund from May-December. S/s Storskär, s/s Norrskär and m/s Västan are used during the spring and summer. M/s Ramsö, m/s Skarpö and the four Djurgårds ferries are in action for more or less the whole year. The Blidösunds Company also operates the Siarö fort in the middle of Furusundsleden with a museum, youth hostel and guest harbour.
